Shaw Park is unique in Sumter, it offers a place for people to get together and fly model airplanes! On top of that, if you think you have skills on a skate board, why not hit the Skate Park. There’s plenty of space and equipment for you to work on your Backside Ollie or maybe just practice your kick flip.

 

Rolling Creek Park

Located on Rolling Creek Road. this fenced in park is almost totally shaded and has a playground for the children.

 

 

Riley Park

Located off of Dubose Street, Riley Park has a full basketball court and a playground for the kids. it also boasts a picnic shelter and table so you can bring a lunch! On top of that, there is a large field, good for jogging, playing Frisbee or throwing a ball for your dog. While your there why don’t you catch a game at the ball park?

Patriot Park

Created in 2009 as part of the Penny for Progress initiative, this new state of the art park has several baseball/Softball fields and even more Soccer fields.

 

Parker Street Park

Nestled in a small neighborhood on Parker Dr. This park is great for an afternoon with the kids. They can play on the slides, or play a game of Tic-Tac-Toe. After they are done playing you can use the park bench to sit down and enjoy a meal. This park is fenced in and is open till dusk.
