Sumter County CDC
The Sumter County Community Development Corporation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2001.
It serves the Santee-Lynches Region including Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter counties.
The Board of Directors are: Sharon Teigue, Chairperson; James T. McCain Jr., Vice-Chairperson; William “Bill” Day, II; Marilyn Drayton; Amanda Dudley; Calvin Hastie, Jr.; Carrie Kirkman; Kimdra Ragin; Rosa Strong; Dollie Swinton; J. David Weeks

Mission: To promote education, economic, housing, cultural, and social endeavors in low-to-moderate income communities of Sumter County; and to create safe, vibrant, self-sustaining communities by fostering an environment for effective community through leadership, skills training, counseling and creative initiatives.
The Sumter County CDC is located at 337 Manning Avenue and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday
