4.	LAND USE MATTERS AND REZONING REQUESTS 
	Planned Development/Rezoning Request - 

(1)     RZ-00-24 - County Council - Third Reading - A Request To Rezone All Of Forest Lakes Subdivision
        Located Off Kolb Road Between Cains Mill Road And Ithica Drive From Agricultural Conservation To
        Residential-15.

(2)	OA-00-11 - Planning Staff - Third Reading -(00-404) - A Request To Amend The Text Of The Sumter
        County Zoning and Development Standards Ordinance.  

(3)	OA-00-16 - County Council - Second Reading - (00-405) - A Request To Amend The Text Of The
        Sumter County Zoning Ordinance On Page 39, 3.D.5.B. In Order To Change The Last Sentence To
        Read:  "The Axle, Tongue, And Wheels Must Be Removed If Designated To Be Removed i.e. Bolted
        On."  (Council will take action on second reading after a public hearing is held on this ordinance
        amendment.)

(4)	OA-00-17 - Bob Belk - Second Reading - (00-406) -- A Request To Amend The Text Of The Sumter
        County Zoning And Development Standards Ordinance Concerning Exhibit 5, Page 88, Section 2.E.F.
        To Allow A Majority Vote Approval Instead Of 100 Percent Approval From The Property Owners.
        (Council will take action on second reading after a public hearing is held on this ordinance
        amendment.)

(5)	OA-00-13 - Sumter Board Of Realtors (County) - First Reading - (00-410)  A Request To Amend The
        Text Of The Sumter County Zoning And Development Standards Ordinance Pertaining To Temporary
        Signs (Section 8.i.6).

(6)	OA-00-14 - Planning Commission (City And County) - First Reading -- (00-412) --A Request To
        Amend The Sumter City-County Comprehensive Plan To Include The Economic Development
        Element To The Plan.  This Amendment Will Bring The Comprehensive Plan Into Compliance With
        The S. C. Comprehensive Planning Enabling Act Of 1994.  

(7)	OA-00-19 - County Council - - First Reading - (00-411)  A Request To Amend The Text Of The
        Sumter County Zoning And Development Standards Ordinance On Page 160, Section 8.d.3.c; Page 87,
        Exhibit 5; And Page 76, Section 3.m.3.

6.      PUBLIC HEARINGS 

(1)	OA-00-16 - County Council - (00-405) - A Request To Amend The Text Of The Sumter County Zoning
        Ordinance On Page 39, 3.D.5.B. In Order To Change The Last Sentence To Read:  "The Axle, Tongue,

        Posting Of Any Roadway Maintained By Sumter County And Shall Not Be Construed To Impose Any
        Liability On Sumter County.  (After the Public Hearing, Council will take action on Third Reading.)

(4)	00-407 - An Ordinance Amending Ordinance Number 00-384 Of Sumter County, South Carolina,
        Authorizing The Issuance And Sales Of General Obligation Bonds, 2000, Of Sumter County South
        Carolina In The Aggregate Principal Amount Of Not Exceeding $4,800,000 et al.  (After the Public
        Hearing, Council will take action on Third Reading.)

(5)	00-403 - An Ordinance Amending Ordinance #00-384 Authorizing The Issuance And Sale Of General
        Obligation Bonds, 2000, Of Sumter County, South Carolina In The Aggregate Principal Amount Of
        Not Exceeding $7,000,000; Fixing The Form And Details Of The Bonds; Authorizing The Chairman Of
        County Council Or His Lawfully Authorized Designee To Determine Certain Matters Relating To The
        Bonds; Providing For The Payment Of The Bonds And The Disposition Of The Proceeds Thereof; And
        Other Matters Relating Thereto. (After the Public Hearing, Council will take action on Third
        Reading.)

(6)	00-408 - An Ordinance Authorizing The Sale Of Property Located At 645 Manning Avenue (Corner Of
        Orange Street And Manning Avenue).  (After the Public Hearing, Council will take action on
        Second Reading.)

(7)	00-409 -Second Reading - An Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 00-387 of Sumter County, South
        Carolina (Sometimes Referred To As The Sumter County Litter Control Ordinance) So As To Delete
        The Provision That Fees From The Sumter County Landfill Will Be Used To Fund The Administration
        Of The Sumter County Litter Control Ordinance.  

7.	NEW BUSINESS - 

(1)	Recognition of Contestants in the Litter Contest -- Slogan and Logo.

(2)	Discussions on Hiring A Full-time County Attorney.

(3)	Empowerment Zone Intergovernmental Agreement.

(4)	Discussion on Workforce Project.

(4)	May Be Suggested To Hold Executive Session To Receive A Legal Briefing from the County
        Attorney or Discuss Contractual or Personnel Matters. 

8.   OLD BUSINESS
 
 (1)	00-402 - Third Reading -- An Ordinance Authorizing The Sumter County Administrator Or His
        Designee To Determine Safe Speed Limits As Approved By The Sumter County Council On Sumter
        County Maintained Roadways And To Post The Maximum Speed Limit For The Same; To Request
        Enforcement Of The Speed Limits So Posted; And To Use Discretion From Time To Time In Changing
