4.	LAND USE MATTERS AND REZONING REQUESTS 
	Planned Development/Rezoning Request - 

(1)	OA-00-15 - Building Code Adoption (Ordinance #00-401) - - Third Reading - A request to
        amend the text of the Sumter City and County "Buildings and Building Regulations"
        Ordinance.  

(2)	RZ-00-24 - County Council - First Reading - A Request To Rezone All Of Forest Lakes
        Subdivision Located Off Kolb Road Between Cains Mill Road And Ithica Drive From
        Agricultural Conservation To Residential-15.  

(3)	OA-00-11 - Planning Staff - First Reading -(00-404) - A Request To Amend The Text Of The
        Sumter City Zoning and Development Standards Ordinance.  

(4)	OA-00-16 - County Council - First Reading - (00-405) - A Request To Amend The Text Of
        The Sumter County Zoning Ordinance On Page 39, 3.D.5.B. In Order To Change The Last
        Sentence To Read:  "The Axle, Tongue, And Wheels Must Be Removed If Designated To Be
        Removed i.e. Bolted On."

(5)	OA-00-17 - Bob Belk - First Reading - (00-406) -- A Request To Amend The Text Of The
        Sumter County Zoning And Development Standards Ordinance Concerning Exhibit 5, Page
        88, Section 2.E.F. To Allow A Majority Vote Approval Instead Of 100 Percent Approval
        From The Property Owners.

6.      PUBLIC HEARING 

7.	NEW BUSINESS - 

(1)	A Proclamation Proclaiming October 1-7, 2000, as Mental Illness Awareness Week in Sumter
        County, South Carolina

(2)	00-402 - First Reading -- An Ordinance Authorizing The Sumter County Administrator Or
        His Designee To Determine Safe Speed Limits As Approved By The Sumter County Council
        On Sumter County Maintained Roadways And To Post The, Maximum Speed Limits So
        Posted; And To Use Discretion Enforcement Of The Speed Limits So Posted; And To Use
        Discretion From Time To Time In Changing The Posted Speed Limits If Necessary.  This
        Action Shall Not Be Construed To Impose Any Responsibility For The Posting Of Any
        Roadway Maintained By Sumter County And Shall Not Be Construed To Impose Any
        Liability On Sumter County.  

(3)	 00-403 - First Reading -- An Ordinance Amending Ordinance #00-384 Authorizing The
         Issuance And Sale Of General Obligation Bonds, 2000, Of Sumter County, South Carolina In
         The Aggregate Principal Amount Of Not Exceeding $6,900,000; Fixing The Form And
         Details Of The Bonds; Authorizing The Chairman Of County Council Or His Lawfully
         Authorized Designee To Determine Certain Matters Relating To The Bonds; Providing For
         The Payment Of The Bonds And The Disposition Of The Proceeds Thereof; And Other
         Matters Relating Thereto.

(4)	Discussion By Council and Possible Approval to Recommend the Following Items To Be
        Sent To The Planning Commission For Action:
        · Amendment to Page 160, Section 8.d.3.c. Protection of Historic Trees and Significant
          Trees.
        · Amendment To Make Veterans Organization A Permitted Use In AC Districts.

(5)	May Be Suggested To Hold Executive Session To Receive A Legal Briefing from the County
        Attorney or Discuss Contractual or Personnel Matters.
