The City of Sumter and Sumter County Government will be open for normal business hours at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018.
Sumter County Recreation & Parks Department’s gymnasium has closed as a shelter. The Sumter County Emergency Operations Center has closed.
Donna Dew, Sumter County Emergency Management Executive Secretary, said Black River Electric Cooperative and Duke Energy Progress have extra trucks in the area to get power restored.
