The 2010 Census

Sumter County's form return rate in 2000 was higher than the state average, but S. C. still finished 49th nationally. The goal of S. C. is a 6% increase..... County Council's goal is 10%. The State Board of Budget and Statistics shared that for every individual who fails to complete/return their Census form, Sumter County loses $48, while the City loses $30. It is estimated that Sumter County was undercounted in 2000 by approximately 1,200 individuals. In light of these economic times, we must do better. All it takes is 10 minutes, we thank you for your time.
