Senior Program:
This program is open to the young at heart aged 50 and older who enjoy interacting with others that share the same interests.
Activities include but are not limited to aerobics, sewing, ceramics, bible study, bowling, board games, trips, and more.
The program is offered at Birnie HOPE Center, Delaine, Cherryvale, Ebenezer, Mayesville, Rembert/Rafting Creek, South Sumter Park and the Spectrum community centers.
After-School Program:
The program is offered to youth between the ages of 6-18 from 2:30 to 5:00pm.
It focuses on literacy development activities that help the children complete the assigned schoolwork and enhances reading skills through tutoring and mentoring.
Its participants are also exposed to physical activity and nutrition education.
This program is offered at Birnie HOPE Center, Delaine, Cherryvale, Ebenezer, Mayesville, Rembert/Rafting Creek and South Sumter community centers.
Summer Program:
This 6-8 week program provides educational learning as well as recreation activities for the youth out of school for the summer.
It is open to youth between the ages of 6-18.
The program is offered at various sites located throughout Sumter County for more information contact the main office.
