Y Walk.

50 Willow Drive. One half mile

This paved walk, starting from the southwest corner of the YMCA parking lot, on the banks of the Shot Pouch Creek, is a true delight for those who appreciate the beauty of wild vines and native habitat. The stately gate at the Trails start tells the walker that something good is to follow. Even though this trail is only one half mile long, walkers may desire to spend extra time there. That’s due to the beauty of this nature area. Herons, owls and other birds often soar overhead as they search for a taste of the abundant food supply from the creek. For the photo buff, the benches make it easy to stay awhile and await the moment for just the right picture.

This walk is handicap accessible. If a longer walk is desired, miller road can be crossed and walkers can continue the paved trail to its ending on brad street and then return to the parking lot. This adds approximately one half mile to the walk. Because this trail is so convenient a walk can easily be incorporated into shopping trips to the numerous businesses that surround the area.
