A manual or motorized wheelchair can easily access this entire trail as it winds through the USC Sumter campus. When school is in session, walkers can savor a snack from the campus grill and visit in the adjoining book-store. All buildings have handicap accessible restrooms and water fountains. Campus visitors will enjoy a rest at the peace garden located between the library and the administration building. On a hot day the spray mist from the fountains at the front of the campus may offer a brief respite from the southern Sun.
If time permits, view the USC Sumter website at http://www.uscsumter.edu for information. The university frequently offers events on campus that are free and open to the public. Your walk can be scheduled around a university activity. There is a covered bus stop at the front of campus that contributes to easy access to this trail.
The USC Sumter campus is multimodal, meaning that it can be accessed by numerous transportation methods. For example each public transportation bus has a bicycle rack. A cyclist can get off the bus at the campus’s covered bus stop on miller road, park the bicycle in a campus bike rack and then take the walk around the campus.
