Public Notice: Saturday Opening for Absentee Voting for Primary

The Sumter County Voter Registration Office will be open on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 9:00-12:00.

Under limited supervision, performs clerical support to the Sumter County Public Defender’s Office which includes, but not limited to general clerical, receptionist and generally assigned office work.  Answers telephones and transfers calls to appropriate staff members, their voicemail or takes messages when required.  Checks voicemail each morning and periodically throughout the day, sends all messages to appropriate attorney via case management program.  Tracks all calls from clients at the jail ensuring that all calls are transferred to the appropriate attorney.  Documents all client con

The Heat Is On......

The heat is on………..

in more ways than one.  June arrived with hot temperatures in the low 90’s coupled with rain which has made it very humid.  We expect heat in the south, which is an exchange for those bitter cold winters up north.
