Aurora Sojourn, a solo exhibition by New York artist Jen Pepper. An opening reception with a brief talk by the artist is on Thursday, July 16from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition can be viewed from July 16 through Aug. 14 at Gallery 135, in Patriot Hall, 135 Haynsworth Street, Sumter, SC.
The work on view comprises ink drawings, photographs and fiber works. Each has been completed while the artist was in residence at Kunstnarhuset Messen, Ålvik, NORWAY, Nes Artist Residency, Skagaströnd, ICELAND and Gæsteatelier Hollufgård, Odense, DENMARK in the spring of this year.
What: The Sumter County Cultural Commission announces a call for 2nd. Quarter Grant Applications for Sumter County artists, arts organizations and arts programming. The 2nd Quarter grant funds are for activities and projects which start during the months of October, November and December, 2015. Funded projects must be completed by June 30, 2016
