An Ordinance acknowledging and supporting the issuance by the South Carolina Jobs-Economic Development Authority of its qualified energy conservation bonds, pursuant to the provisions of Title 41, Chapter 43, of the code of laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, in the aggregate principal amount not to exceed $5,262,000 for the benefit of Sumter County, South Carolina.

The Sumter County Veterans Association Invites you to our annual Veterans Day Events on November 11th 2015.

There will be a Veterans Day Parade at 10 AM followed by a Ceremony at 11AM then a Veterans Meet and Greet.

Statement from members of Sumter County Council


The people of Sumter County, as well as many areas of the state, have been hard hit by the devastating floods that swept through the area over the weekend. The damages to the county's infrastructure, especially our roads, have been severe, and many of our citizens are facing significant property loss.

On June 12, 2018, Sumter County Council approved the third and final reading for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Budget Ordinance.  This year’s budget proposal was balanced at $52,752,483 revenues and expenditures with “NO TAX INCREASE.”
