Sumter County Council passes first reading of a balanced budget with no tax increase during Tuesday's meeting


Sumter County Council passed first reading Tuesday evening of a balanced budget with no tax increase for the upcoming Fiscal Year.

Sumter County Administrator Gary Mixon, Assistant Administrator Lorraine Dennis, Finance Director Jamie Michaelson and council members worked through a list of capital requests during a second budget workshop before the regular meeting. The master budget worksheet shows expenditures matching revenues at $52,752,483 for Fiscal Year 2018-19.

A Plan of Action... New!


Sumter County Government began the month of May with a plan of action for the budget season.  The Fiscal Year Budget covers the time frame of July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019.
