Memorial Day Ceremony

Our Association lays over 4,600 American Flags on the graves of Sumter County Veterans every year.  A Memorial Day Ceremony is conducted featuring a notable key note speaker whom is normally on active duty or a retired veteran.  The ceremony is held at the General Mabry Memorial Park, located adjacent to Shaw AFB on Highways 376/76.  This year’s ceremony will be on May 30, 2014 beginning at 11:00am.

Veterans Day Ceremony

Our Association commemorates the services of all veterans of the United States Armed Forces on Veterans Day every year.  The date of the ceremony is November 11th, and is held on the front lawn of the Sumter County Court House located on 141. N Main Street, Sumter, SC 29150 and begins at 11:00am.   This year, some of our local businesses and service organizations will greet Veterans and their families on the back lawn of our Court House after the ceremony!

You are cordially invited to attend the ceremonies and we always welcome volunteers to help us pay tribute to our heroes!  All ceremonies are free and open to the public!
