1.    CALL TO ORDER – Chairman, The Honorable Eugene R. Baten

2.    INVOCATION –Council Member Or Local Minister

3.    PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE -

4.    APPROVAL OF AGENDA – August 28, 2012                                                     

5.    APPROVAL OF MINUTES:   Regular Meeting Held On August 14, 2012                                                                                                                       

6.    LAND USE MATTERS AND REZONING REQUESTS:

       Planned Development/Rezoning Requests

(1)   RZ-11-04 -- 3505 Camden Highway (County) – Second Reading/Public Hearing – Request To Rezone A +/- 7.28 Acre Portion Of A 43 Acre Tract Located At 3505 Camden Highway From Residential-9 (R-9) To General Commercial (GC).  The Property Is Represented By Tax Map # 190-00-03-014.  (Prior To Action On Second Reading, Council Will Hold A Public Hearing On This Rezoning Request.) 

(2)   OA-12-08 -- Mobile Vendors (County)—Second Reading/Public Hearing – 12-775 -- Request To Amend Sumter County Zoning Ordinance To Add Mobile Vendors As A Temporary Use In Certain Zoning Districts.  (Prior To Action On Second Reading, Council Will Hold A Public Hearing On This Ordinance Amendment.) 

       Street Name Changes – None

       Grant Awards -- None

7.    OTHER PUBLIC HEARING:

(1)   12-774 – An Ordinance To Abandon And Convey An Unnamed Road On Property Of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church On McCrays Mill Road.  (Council Make Take Action On Second Reading Immediately After the Public Hearing Or During Old Business.) 

8.    NEW BUSINESS:

(1)   A Proclamation Proclaiming September 13, 2012, As National Anthems Day In Sumter, County South Carolina.   

(2)   A Proclamation Proclaiming September 16-22, 2012, As Constitution Week In Sumter, County South Carolina.   

(3)   It May Be Necessary To Hold An Executive Session To Discuss A Personnel Matter, Receive A Legal Briefing, Or Discuss A Contractual Matter And Appropriate Actions May Be Required And Taken Thereafter. 

9.    OLD BUSINESS:

(1)   12-774 – Second Reading -- An Ordinance To Abandon And Convey An Unnamed Road On Property Of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church On McCrays Mill Road.

10.  COMMITTEE REPORTS:

(1)   Internal Affairs Committee Meeting To Be Held On Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at 4:30 p.m. -- In Sumter County Administration Building, County Council’s Conference Room –(Byrd, McGhaney, and Sanders – All Council Members Are Asked to Attend).
